Ceiba Process Industry Solutions
The founding members of Ceiba Solutions were instrumental in the design and development of one of the few Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software applications that was specifically meant for process industry manufacturers. Its functions for planning, scheduling, inventory management and quality were based on recipes and formulation, rules for shelf-life, and the overall principle for making many varieties of products from a relatively few number of resources.
This team developed this Process ERP software in the 1980’s, and it is in use today around the world by chemical companies, steel mills, food and beverage producers, pharmaceutical and forest products companies. Its ownership has changed hands since it was first launched, and is today part of the Ross Enterprise Solution Suite from CDC Software.
What has been consistent over these years is that many of these companies rely on expert consultants from Ceiba Solutions to continue to get the most out of their process ERP investment. The Ceiba team has a unique set of skills that combines application knowledge with Gembase 4GL expertise, process operations know how, and ERP best practices.

- In May 2010, a large chemical company will be celebrating 5 years of successful operation of its Ceiba Transportation Management Software, integrated with its ERP software using principles of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).
- In December 2009, on of America’s largest steel operations went live with a planning & scheduling module, customized for their business.
- In August 2009, the beverage division of a global consumer products manufacturer selected Ceiba to provide remote managed services for its Ross ERP software.
- For the past two tears, a large Steel mill has been successfully operating the maintenance management software from IFS that Ceiba integrated with their Ross ERP, while an international ingredients company is using an integrated Mapics – Ross ERP solution that Ceiba delivered.
